SchatzPLATZ is an online auction platform for used, circulated objects made of precious metals, mainly gold and silver.
Interested parties can bid on these objects and the highest bidder at the end of the auction buys the object.
We use our expertise and services to help find a new owner for quality objects on the secondary market easily and at the best prices.

Used items
SchatzPLATZ is an online auction platform for used, circulated objects made of precious metals. All items auctioned on our site are therefore in used condition with signs of use and/or possible wear and tear.
Items are sold “as seen”
All items are sold “as seen”, i.e. in the condition they are in at the time of sale. Please note that colors and shades may look different on the screen than when viewing the actual item.
Included buyer protection without additional fees
We create secure conditions for you with our buyer protection so that you can bid and buy safely. We guarantee that all payments are processed securely by professional payment service providers, every item is quality checked and all sellers are verified by us.
Items are offered exclusively on our platform
Items that you find on our website are offered exclusively on our auction platform. This means that these properties cannot be found for sale via other sales channels at the same time.
No deposited minimum prices or hidden sales limits
On SchatzPLATZ all objects can already be purchased at the advertised starting price. We do NOT use bait offers with hidden minimum prices.
We provide estimates as a guide
In most cases, we provide estimates (such as the “new price of similar items”) to give you a sense of how much similar items would cost in new condition. These estimates are provided as a guide, are intended to mark a price range rather than a specific price and are always snapshots. They are neither a guarantee of the actual value of an item nor a prediction of its expected sale price. These guidelines are in no way a substitute for expert advice or the opinion of a trusted expert.
However, you must always make the final decision to purchase a property and at what price yourself.
TopDEAL offers
Properties with the TopDeal label have a very inexpensive and low starting price (close to the pure material value). These properties are ideal for bargain hunters and investors who focus more on the price and want to get the most precious metal for their money.
Every bid is binding
Every bid placed is binding. Therefore, only place bids for items that you intend to buy. This means that you cannot change, withdraw or revoke your bid afterwards. We are not responsible for any mistakes you may make when placing a bid. So always check that you have entered the correct amount when bidding, especially if you place a bid at the last minute.
If you are the highest bidder at the end of the auction, you agree to purchase the item.
Auction duration
Auctions on SchatzPLATZ have an auction duration of between 5 and 10 days. You can see the remaining auction duration on the item page.
Bidding in the last minute
For every bid placed in the last 60 seconds of an auction, the
auction duration is extended by 90 seconds. This gives other interested bidders a fair chance to place a counter-bid.
Maximum bid – automatic bidding
You also have the option of placing a maximum bid. This function allows you to react automatically to incoming bids even if you are not next to the computer or on your cell phone. If another bidder places a bid, the system reacts automatically and places the next possible bid step on your behalf up to your maximum bid. Only the lowest next possible bid step that is necessary for you to be the highest bidder will be bid. You can therefore also purchase the items below the maximum bid. Maximum bids with equal amounts/purchase limits will be considered in the order in which they are received.

Description of gemstones and pearls
For objects with set stones and/or pearls, the gemstones and/or pearls are generally not examined for their origin (synthetic, natural or cultured). The mere mention of the general term, e.g. “ruby”, therefore includes both the natural and the synthetic variant. Unless the term “natural ruby” or “synthetic ruby” is explicitly used in the description.
Buyback of purchased items
Items purchased from us at auction can be sold to us or auctioned by us at any time at current prices.
